JVC Sophisti NXD Series: Looks Good, Sounds Good

Manila, Philippines
-- Finally, a compact component system that will be worth every peso. JVC is introducing the NX-D Series DVD compact component systems, a new line of products under the Sophisti Advanced Living Entertainment System. The most prominent feature of the series ― what they call the Slant Style Design ― is embedded with JVC’s sound improving technologies. The Slant Style Design is literally a physical design feature that is aesthetically nice to look at as well as technically devised to improve sound quality.

It has other cool features too. Like the Motion Sensor touch panel controls. Just bring your hand near the unit and the controls automatically illuminate! Video signals for the Sophisti NX-D series are superb as well. The NX-D7 and NX-D5 have HDMI output with 1080p up-conversion of video signals for enhanced images. HDMI’s single cable connection with a compatible device offers “lossless”, all-digital transmission of both audio and video signals, the keyword being “lossless”.

All models also come with JVC-original “My Sound” Adjustment ― an innovative technology that evaluates how music sounds for you, which can differ with each person, music content features, or room environment. “My Sound” Adjustment measures your least audible level by giving 5 test tones (125Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 4kHz, 10kHz), then automatically adjusts each frequency level to make the music sound best for your ears. Three preset memories are available to save your settings, and the reproduced music will be especially customized for you.

Connectivity options with other devices are another thing to look forward to in this series. The NX-D7 is ready for Bluetooth Wireless Technology. With an optional Bluetooth adaptor, you can wirelessly stream music from compatible digital audio players, mobile phones, or PCs. Bluetooth compatible devices can be used as remote controls with display, providing easy operation at your fingertips. You can also wirelessly stream NX-D7’s audio source (CD, DVD, USB, etc.) to Bluetooth compatible headphones. The system supports A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles.

USB Music Recording on the other hand, allows you to record CD music directly onto a USB device in MP3 format, without having to use your PC. With the NX-D7, you can even record from the radio, karaoke, or external devices via AUX input. Record whole albums or select the tracks you want, and you’re ready to take music out ― to listen in your car or anywhere you like on the USB device.
Designed to complement flat panel TVs, in sleek Slant Style and glossy black finish, Sophisti NX-D is a fine example of unique design that delivers supreme sound quality bringing new dimensions to home entertainment.
